אִכְפַּת(אִיכַּפַת) אִיכְפַּת f. (אכף; cmp. b. h. אֶכֶף) burden, care, solicitude, followed by ל־ of the person concerned. Targ. 1. Chr 21:13 אִיכַּפַת.Y.Sot.V, 20b top וביתא מאי אכפה ליה what concern is the Temple to him? Taan.25a מאי אי׳ לך why should that trouble thee? B. Mets.40a וכי מאי א׳וכ׳ what do the mice care whether Koh. R. to IV, 1 זה מה אי׳ ליה what concern is it to this one (if the other sinned), i. e. why should he suffer for it?; a. fr. Pesik. R. s. 10, beg. אי׳ להם will people care for them (miss them)? Git. 62a מכפת לא אכפת ליה should he not care for it? Cmp. כפת.
